1 John 2:27
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the One who helps us to get revelation of the things of God in our heart. When revelation comes faith is there. It’s like walking into a dark room not being able to see the way out and then the Holy Spirit flips the light switch on. Once that happens you can see the way to go and act upon the Word of God. This is why we need to develop and maintain a close relationship with the Holy Spirit. Without such revelation we only have head knowledge, not heart revelation of the Word that produces faith. To develop this relationship one should receive the promise of the Father Jesus spoke about in the first chapter of the book of Acts. You will find out this promise was not to be born again, for Jesus had already breathed on His disciples and they had received the Holy Spirit. The promise of the Father was to be baptized in the Holy Spirit in which He would come upon them. Once you have received this promise you should pray in the Holy Spirit every day. The apostle Paul who walked in great revelation of the Word said to the Corinthians that he prayed in tongues more than all of them. This is how we can maintain our relationship with this great Teacher we have been given. Also do not do things to quench, resist, or grieve the Spirit. Doing so will weaken your relationship with Him. If you are in a church that denies the ministry of the Holy Spirit you should find another church. They are denying the help of the Spirit of God in their church. So develop and maintain you relationship with the Teacher, the Holy Spirit, and He will help you to receive revelation of the things of God.

1 John 1:5
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
Once born again we are children of the light. We are to walk in the light and let our light shine. The entrance of God’s Word gives light for God and His Word are one. To walk in the light receive what His Word says about you. Every verse of scripture that refers to who you now are in Christ you should declare such verses everyday. Confession brings possession. Don’t talk about the old you for you are a new creation. Obey the Word of God. Let the Word be the lamp to your feet each day and the light to your path tomorrow. Obedience to the Word will keep you from living a deceived life of darkness. Don’t allow your feelings to rule you for if you do you will go the way of the flesh, which will lead you away from God’s Word. Choose also to walk in love. Treat others how you would want them to treat you. It is one of the hardest things to learn because our human nature is used to walking in darkness. But the more you choose to walk in love, which is a part of the new man within you, the easier it will get to follow after your spirit man and you will be walking in the light of God, free from the darkness of the world.

Phil. 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
The phrase “press on” refers to a runner who does not quit even when they reach that point where they feel they can’t go on. Runners call it “hitting the wall”. But if you keep the finish line as your focus you press on and get through those times when you wanted to quit. You must stop looking behind you. You must learn to forget the past to get to the prize God has provided for you in Christ Jesus. When you look back you hinder your progress of moving forward. Why look back, that is not where you are headed. The children of Israel who kept looking back to Egypt did not enter the promise land. Get your eyes off of the circumstances that surround you and your past. Make sure you have scripture to stand on and keep your eyes on what the Word of God says. Don’t stop believing, speaking, and acting on God’s Word. Christ has won the victory, now press on!

2 Corinthians 2:15
For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;…
Before salvation we had the smell of death, but in Christ we now have the fragrance of new life. This fragrance is the love of God. When you are born again that love is poured out into your heart, your new spirit man. Walking in God’s love is a choice we make every day. It is a choice to treat others the way you would have them treat you, no matter how they treat you. When you are walking in love you are walking with God, for God is love. But when you choose to not walk in love you are not walking with God. This takes you out from under God’s protection and you can fall prey to the ways and the works of satan and the world. But when you choose to walk in love you are not only protected from the works of darkness, you put off the fragrance of Christ, living as He lived. People will take notice because you do not look like nor act like the world. The Bible also teaches us that faith works through love. When you get out of love your faith will not work for you so your faith depends on the love of God. This too will also make a difference in how others see you. As we walk in love we can then draw others out of the smell of death and bring them into new life and a new way of living.

Ephesians 4:16
From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.
It is from Christ Jesus that we are provided with His gifts that knit us together and strengthen us as a body. When we walk in gratitude for what Christ has done for us, we will desire to fulfill our role within the church body we are a part of. Finding our place in the body is of great importance. In using our gifts within the body we are helping to build the church in reaching more people and helping them to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. In fulfilling our part of the body it also helps us become stronger against the attacks of the enemy. Where one can put a thousand to flight two can put ten thousand. Scripture teaches if you are walking together with another when one falls the other is there to pick them back up. Get connected by being involved with the church body. Be faithful to Jesus in doing your part, and it will bring growth to the body and bring a great strength to your life.

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
The believer in Christ has been crucified to the world. The word crucified here means: to destroy it’s power. By faith in the power of the cross of Christ, the world’s power over the believer has been broken. You are in the world, but no longer of the world for you are a new creation in Christ Jesus. To see this inward transformation now change us on the outside we must do two things as stated in Romans 12:1-2. We must present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, set apart unto God. Secondly we must renew our minds to the Word of God, to who we now are in Christ and what He has done for us through the cross, so that we no longer conform to the world, but are transformed into this new man. Renewing the mind is not complete until one becomes a doer of the Word. This includes confessing who we now are in Christ, boasting in the cross and what Jesus has done for us. This is the greatest need in the body of Christ. Through a renewed mind we are set free from the worlds ways and we become living proof of the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Romans 5:2
…through whom (Christ) also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
The grace we have through faith in Christ is defined as: A divine influence that leads to living a life following after the example of Christ. This divine influence called grace, which can also be defined as heavens help, is available to us through faith. If you want to stand fast in this divine influence of God to help you in this life we must choose to walk by faith. In the book of James chapter 2 verse 17 we are told faith without works (corresponding action) is dead, devoid of power. Our faith in Christ is not only seen in receiving Him, but then following after Him. This is what being a Christian (a Christ follower) is all about. Faith is not just praying a prayer, but in surrendering our life unto the Lord. To call upon the name of the Lord means we make Him the Lord of our life. He is the One we look to and follow after. We are told to put on Christ. Putting on Christ is like putting on a parachute. If you just have a parachute but don’t put it on and jump from a plane it does you no good. When you put on Christ it is like putting on that parachute. You are putting your full trust in Him by adhering to and following after Him. As we walk by faith we are standing in the grace God has given to us through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 10:19
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,…
Here we see the primary reason that Jesus shed His blood for us so that we could once again approach God unashamed and have fellowship with Him. The enmity that stood between God and man was removed by the blood Jesus shed for us. Once you are born again you now have complete access to the Father. Through spending time in the Word of God and prayer we can approach Him with absolute confidence knowing that He will receive us. The devil will try to keep us from drawing near to God by trying to convince us that we are not worthy to come before God, but through Christ we have become worthy completely cleansed from the old sin nature. Satan will also try to keep us away from the Father by being getting us consumed with other things. Don’t allow the devil to lead you away from God by giving in to such temptations. The door is open and your Heavenly Father awaits to fellowship with you. Take time to draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. You will be glad you did.

Hebrews 9:14
…how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The conscience is the voice of our spirit. When we were born again because our spirit man was made new our conscience was cleansed. The Bible teaches us that God will lead us by His Spirit bearing witness with our spirit. As we develop spiritually we can begin to learn the difference between our soul (mind, will, and emotions) and our spirit man. The more we do the easier it becomes to be led by God listening to the voice of your conscience. If you abide in the Word of God you can learn when your conscience is leading you because when the Holy Spirit guides you through this inward witness it will always be in line with God’s Word. This witness with your conscience will come as an inward knowing, a peace within, or what some call a green light when God is leading you in a certain direction. When you are headed the wrong direction their will be a feeling of unrest or an inward knowing to stop, which will seem like a red light. So live in the Word of God and learn to here and follow the voice of your spirit man, your conscience, and you can follow God’s plan for your life.

Hebrews 9:12
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
By the blood of Jesus we have obtained His eternal redemption. Redemption means to be liberated from bondage. We have been redeemed from spiritual death, sickness and disease, poverty and lack. Redemption from spiritual death not only means we have been liberated from the old sin nature and made a new creation, but we have also been liberated from identifying with that old nature. Our identity (were we find our value and worth) no longer comes from the world but from God. So don’t devalue yourself for you are children of the most high God. We are redeemed from all sickness and disease for by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. We have also been liberated from poverty and lack because once you are born again you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus. The redeemed of the Lord are to say so. Daily confess you have been redeemed (liberated) from spiritual death, sickness and disease, poverty and lack. Confession brings possession.
