More Than Conquerors

Romans 8:37
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Through our relationship in Christ Jesus and what He has done for us we are more than conquerors through His shed blood. How do we walk in this victorious life Christ has provided for us? We overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of our testimony, and we love not our own lives. The first thing we must understand is to walk in the revelation of what the blood of Jesus has done for us. We have to believe in our hearts that when Jesus shed His blood for us that shed blood provided a new covenant we are to walk in. You must know what your new covenant rights are according to the Word of God. When you know what your rights are you must declare it so with your own words to take possession of what is now yours. Like the children of Israel, theses promises have already been given to us, but we must take possession of what Christ has provided through a faith filled confession. Also we must chose to walk in God’s will for our life as shown to us through His Word. For example, faith works through love. If we know what belongs to us, have a faith filled confession but choose to not walk in love, our faith will not work. The payment has been made and the new covenant promises await. Now take possession of what is yours for you are more than a conqueror!

Consider

Romans 6:11
Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Christ took our sin on the cross and freed us from sin and all that came as a result of sin; sickness, disease, poverty, lack, fear, worry, stress, etc. Consider yourself dead to all that came through sin and alive to all that we now have through Christ. Stop thinking about and magnifying what you see in the natural; instead meditate on and magnify what Christ has done for you. Scripture teaches us that as a man thinks, so is he. If you see yourself sick, lacking what you need, or defeated, you are going to continue to allow the very things that Christ has freed you from to over take you. Instead you need to renew your mind to what God says about you. Consider all that Christ has done for you instead of what you may be facing in the natural. We walk by faith, not by sight. To do so you must consider the Word above everything else. Stay in the Word of God and focus your thoughts on what it says. The Word is truth and even though it may be true that you are facing something in the natural the truth will change what may be currently true in your life. What you see is subject to change. What are you considering?

Peace With God

Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,…

Through Jesus we have been given peace with God. The word peace means to be one with, a state of harmony. Once born again we become one spirit with the Lord. As Jesus is so are we in this present age because we are one with Him. There is no war between you and God because you are one with Him. The devil does all he can to convince believers that God is mad at them so that they won’t draw near to God. But when Jesus bore our sin He also bore the punishment our sin deserved. The Word of God tells us we will not face the wrath of God to come. In Isaiah 54:8-10 God gave a promise that as our Redeemer He would not be angry with us nor remove His covenant of peace from us. For all who are redeemed we have this promise from God. So don’t run from Him, run to Him because He has given to us a covenant of peace.

You Have Been Saved

John 3:17
“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Through Jesus Christ we have been saved. The word saved is defined as rescued, preserved, healed, restored, made well. All of this is a part of God’s salvation package. To receive what we have available to us we must by faith see these things as already done, for in the eyes of God they are. Take healing for example. To receive your healing you must by faith receive it as already so. If you do then you are not moved by what you may feel or see in your body. You don’t allow what is in the natural to affect what you say or do. Instead you act upon the Word of God which declares by His stripes you were healed. So you are not moved by what you see or feel, you are only moved by what the Word of God says. This is how we receive what we have in Christ Jesus. Take time to meditate on all you have been given in Christ until that Word get’s in you. Once it does faith becomes active and you can walk in what Christ has provided.

Our Teacher

1 John 2:27
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

The Holy Spirit is the One who helps us to get revelation of the things of God in our heart. When revelation comes faith is there. It’s like walking into a dark room not being able to see the way out and then the Holy Spirit flips the light switch on. Once that happens you can see the way to go and act upon the Word of God. A vital key in receiving this revelation is in how we read and listen to the teaching of God’s Word. Whether reading or hearing the Word taught, you must first recognize it is God speaking to you. It is not man’s Words but God’s, for all scripture is given by God. Secondly you must give your full attention to God’s Word and not become distracted with other things. Pay close attention to what you are hearing. Third you must learn to take verses that stand out to you and meditate on those verses consistently. Reading and hearing makes you aware of the Word, meditating on it is how you absorb God’s Word. Finally put what you know into practice for you deceive yourself if you are a hearer and not a doer of the Word. Put these truths into practice and His Word will become alive in you by the Holy Spirit within.

Walk In The Light

1 John 1:5
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Once born again we are children of the light. We are to walk in the light and let our light shine. The entrance of God’s Word gives light, for God and His Word are one. To walk in the light receive what His Word says about you. Every verse of scripture that refers to who you now are in Christ you should declare such verses everyday. Confession brings possession. Don’t talk about the old you for you are a new creation. Obey the Word of God. Let the Word be a lamp to your feet each day and a light to your path tomorrow. Obedience to the Word will keep you from living a deceived life of darkness. Don’t allow your feelings to rule you for if you do you will go the way of the flesh, which will lead you away from God’s Word. Choose also to walk in love. Treat others how you would want them to treat you. It is one of the hardest things to learn because our human nature is used to walking in darkness. But the more you choose to walk in love you will be walking in the light of God, free from the darkness of the world.

Press On

Phil. 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

The phrase “press on” is like a runner who does not quit even when they reach that point where they feel they can’t go on. Runners call it “hitting the wall”. But if you keep the finish line as your focus you press on and get through those times when you wanted to quit. You must stop looking behind you. You must learn to forget the past to get to the prize God has provided for you in Christ Jesus. When you look back you hinder your progress of moving forward. Why look back, that is not where you are headed. The children of Israel who kept looking back to Egypt did not enter the promise land. Get your eyes off of the circumstances that surround you and your past. Make sure you have scripture to stand on and keep your eyes on what the Word of God says. Don’t stop believing, speaking, and acting on God’s Word. Christ has won the victory, now press on!

Remove The Road Blocks

James 1:25
But the one who peers into the perfect law of liberty and fixes his attention there, and does not become a forgetful listener but one who lives it out – he will be blessed in what he does.

Many times people blame God for not being blessed thinking He is holding back blessings from them. Others blame the devil, or other people, or their circumstances for not having a blessed life. But in fact the only one that determines if we live a blessed life or not is ourselves. As James states in the above verse that if we look into God’s perfect law (His Word) which brings liberty, and we are not just hearers but doers of the Word, we will be blessed in what we do. Jesus has come to bless us with life (the God-kind of life), and that more abundantly. If you have ever tried to get somewhere and as you are heading to your destination you come upon a road block, you are stopped from going any further until the barrier is removed. When you hear God’s Word but then don’t do what it tells you, it is the same as you putting up a road block to the blessings of God in that area of your life. You cannot get to the blessing God has for you. So to remove the road blocks to God’s blessings in your life become a doer of God’s Word. Every excuse you make as to why you can’t do what His Word says is another road block. Remove the road blocks and you will reach the destination of blessings God has for you.

Know Truth

John 8:31-32 So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

TRUTH: Fundamental reality that transcends mere appearance or normal experience.

Truth has only one ultimate source – God. When we choose to live by what Jesus said, both in deed and in promise, we choose to live by truth. In doing so you will know truth by experience and the truth will set you free from deception. Deception has only one ultimate source – satan. Accept, receive, and live by the truth and you will receive from it’s very source (God), liberty from deception.

Walk In Love

2 Corinthians 2:15
For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;…

Before salvation we had the smell of death, but in Christ we now have the fragrance of new life. This fragrance is the love of God. When you are born again that love is poured out into your heart, your new spirit man. Walking in God’s love is a choice we make every day. It is a choice to treat others the way you would have them treat you, no matter how they treat you. When you are walking in love you are walking with God, for God is love. But when you choose to not walk in love you are not walking with God. This takes you out from under God’s protection and you can fall prey to the ways and the works of satan and the world. But when you choose to walk in love you are not only protected from the works of darkness, you put off the fragrance of Christ, living as He lived. People will take notice because you do not look like nor act like the world. The Bible also teaches us that faith works through love. When you get out of love your faith will not work for you so your faith depends on the love of God. This to will also make a difference in how others see you. As we walk in love we can then draw others out of the smell of death and bring them into new life and a new way of living.
