He Freely Gives All Things

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.

By our faith in what Christ has done, God the Father has given to us salvation by His Son, being delivered up for us, and so will He also freely give to us all things. We receive them by faith as a gift from God just like salvation. All that God has for us is based on what Jesus has already done, there is nothing more for Him to do. It is now up to us to receive what we have in Christ.

Just like being born again, God has already done what is needed for every person to receive the gift of eternal life. Scripture tells us that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. God is not going to do this, He has already done so. It is now up to the sinner to receive what He has provided for him. So it is with all Christ has done for us. Many believers are waiting on God to do something for them, but God is waiting on them.

God has fulfilled in Christ all that is needed for us. We must act in faith based upon the Word of God to receive what we have in Him. As Smith Wigglesworth used to say, “Faith is an act.” In the same way we acted upon God’s Word for salvation, so we must act upon the Word to freely receive from God what He has provided for us. If you are waiting on God guess what, He is waiting on you. Act in faith and you can freely receive all things from God.
