Hold Fast To Your Confession

Romans 5:18
Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

There are four powerful truths to our redemption that every believer needs to fully understand of what God has done in us when we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. Our enemy works at deceiving us in these areas so that he can take advantage of our lives. We need to understand the redemptive work that God has already fulfilled in us when we were born again. The first of those four key areas is the work of justification.

Justification means the act of God declaring men free from guilt and approved by Him, placing us in right standing with God. The devil works at trying to convince you that you are not have right standing God, and you must therefore work at becoming approved by Him. If he succeeds, he will hinder your faith in receiving what you have a right to. Notice in the above verse it is through one Man’s righteous act that justification has come to us. You don’t work to become right with God, you already are because of what Jesus has done for us.

What satan tries to convince us of is that we must work to earn this place of righteousness from our Father, when we have already been made right by Him. We do not do what is right in the sight of God to become righteous, we do what is right in His sight because we already are righteous, being made righteous from within. Don’t fall for the lie that you must work at becoming righteous to get God’s approval you already are, because of the righteous act of one Man, Jesus Christ our King.
