The Shed Blood of Jesus

Hebrews 12:24
You have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant between God and humanity, and to His sprinkled blood, which speaks a greater word than the blood of Abel crying out from the earth.

The blood of Abel cries out for vengeance, but the blood of Jesus speaks victory to you and me. Six times Jesus shed blood from the time He was in the garden of Gethsemane to the cross, and each time He was obtaining victory for us. These are the six times His blood was shed.

1. (Luke 22:44) – He sweat drops of blood giving us victory over the human will.
2. (John 19:1) – He was scourged giving us victory for our bodily healing.
3. (John 19:2) – A crown of thorns was forced upon His head giving us victory over every wrong thought.
4. (John 19:18) – Crucified, nails in His hands giving us victory over all sinful acts.
5. Nails in His feet giving us victory over all the powers of darkness, trampling them under our feet.
6. (John 19:34) – They pierced His side near His heart and blood flowed out giving us victory over the old human nature, providing us with a new heart (spirit man).

Revelation 12:11 – And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Here is how we appropriate our victory. Walk in revelation of all that His shed blood provided. Declare that victory with our own words, testifying to His shed blood, and living a life to know Him, therefore not loving our life all the way to the end. His blood is still speaking today, declaring that victory is ours!
