As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
Absolute – “Complete in itself; perfect; consummate; faultless; as, absolute perfection.” In this world we live in there is only one thing that is absolute, our God. When you refer to our God you are also referring to His Word, for God and His Word are one. When you look to Psalm 18:30 and see that God’s Word is perfect, that it is proven, meaning it has been tested again and again, and every time proven true, you can see that the definition of absolute would refer to His Word.
If you want to go down the perfect path in life, if you desire to have a life that is complete, you will have to make God’s Word your “absolute”. It is one thing to make decisions in life based on your own desires, which apart from God’s Word isn’t good, but it becomes very deceptive and dangerous when we start making choices saying the Lord told us to do something when in fact what we think He has told us goes contrary to His Word. Because God and His Word are one, He never leads us contrary to His Word.
For anyone to live their life believing God is leading them contrary to scripture, they are headed down a dangerous path. This can certainly lead to even more bad decisions. Such choices are usually the result of us not liking what God’s Word tells us at the time. Jesus said in Luke 11:28 that those who hear the Word of God and keep it are blessed. So choose to make God’s Word your absolute, and you will see Him prove His Word to be the perfect path for your life.
