Made Right With God

Colossians 1:14

In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

The sin that stood between man and God has been washed away in Christ Jesus. Praise the Lord for His redeeming blood! He did not just forgive us of our sin, He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. This righteousness or right standing with God is a free gift. You cannot earn God’s righteousness.

Christians who are trying to “get right” with God are facing a losing battle, for once you are born again you have His righteousness, and therefore you have become right with God. It is through this free gift of righteousness given to us that we have the right to all that Christ has provided for us. The devil will try to convince you that you are not right with God.

Romans 5:17b says, “…those who receive God’s overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ.” We are to reign as kings, walking in what He has provided for us because the King of kings has made us right with God. We simply need to walk in the reality of what we now have in Christ. So don’t try to get right with God, you already are. Walk in the reality of that truth and you can walk in what you have a right to.
