Eat The Good of The Land

Isaiah 1:19
If you will give ear to my word and do it, the good things of the land will be yours;

What would you call a child who picks and chooses what their parents tell them they are to do? Would you say they are an obedient child? I don’t think so. Not only would they obviously be recognized as disobedient, they would even be considered rebellious. Why do so many believers continue to struggle with areas in their life? Why are they not experiencing all that is good that God has already provided for them?

One reason sad to say, is because many continue to take what God has said in His Word and then pick and choose what they want to do or not to do. This is one of the reasons many are still not walking in the all the goodness of what God has for them. Some of the most obvious areas include not having a God-chosen pastor for their life and getting to God’s house to receive and apply what they are taught. Not honoring God with the tithe. Not forgiving others who have wronged them, and not diligently seeking after God. Many believers still want to interpret scripture to fit their lifestyle choices or make excuses not to do what God has said.

Our Heavenly Father is smarter than all of us. Believers need to realize that if they truly want God’s best for their life they need to stop picking and choosing what they want or not want to do. Until Jesus truly becomes the Lord of your life, one will miss out on all that He has available for them, and they will continue to put up with things that Jesus died to free them from. It doesn’t take years for Jesus to free us. It may take some time for us get revelation of what He has done, but if you live in obedience to ALL God has said, you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free!
